諺語中變英 「物以類聚」英文點講？

唔講唔知，原來唔少中文諺語／成語都有英文版本！

1. Seeing is believing 眼見為憑／百聞不如一見

比起眼見為憑，依家更流行而且意思相近嘅講法相信係「有圖有真相」！其實英文亦表達到類似意思，例如：

e.g. I'd never have imagined Mary could sing， but seeing is believing.
 

我從來沒有想像過Mary會唱歌，但眼見為憑。

2. Great minds think alike 英雄所見略同

呢句除咗適合武俠小說嘅大俠們講，我哋平時亦可以當開玩笑，去形容大家有相同意見：

e.g. Mary： Let's go to the library together！
 

Mary： 我們一起去圖書館吧！

John： Great minds think alike， I was thinking about that too！

John： 英雄所見略同，我也在想這個！

3. A young idler， an old beggar 少壯不努力，老大徒傷悲

Idler 即遊手好閒之人；而beggar就係乞衣。

e.g. A young idler， an old beggar. Study hard now.

少壯不努力，老大徒傷悲。現在努力學習。

4. A leopard cannot change its spots 江山易改，本性難移

直譯嘅意思就係豹唔能夠改變自己嘅斑點；引申意思為人嘅性格（尤其是壞性格）不易更改。

e.g. You really believed John when he said he had given up drinking？ Well， a leopard cannot change its spots.

當John說他放棄喝酒的時候，你真的相信了？江山易改，本性難移。

5. Birds of a feather flock together 物以類聚，人以群分

Flock 本身係動詞，意即成群結隊咁去（一地方）／聚集；而整句字面上嘅意思就係有相同羽毛嘅雀仔聚埋一齊，因此延伸意思為物以類聚。

e.g. Wow， Mary and John are now friends. Not surprising， birds of a feather flock together.

哇，Mary和John現在是朋友了。也不奇怪，物以類聚，人以群分。
